MERIMBULA-IMLAY BOWLING CLUB LTD
ELECTION NOTICE

NOMINATIONS

Nominations are invited for:

  • CHAIRMAN
  • TWO (2) DEPUTY CHAIRMEN
  • TREASURER
  • FIVE (5) ORDINARY MEMBERS

In accordance with the Constitution of the Club candidates and their nominators must be financial Full members (other than Social or Country Golf members).  Golfing members are only eligible to be candidates for the 5 positions of Ordinary Director, and no more than 2 shall be on the Board at any one time.  After 3 consecutive full terms, the Chairman becomes ineligible to be re-elected to that position for the current election.

Nominations must be in writing, signed by the candidate and at least two (2) other eligible nominators.  No financial member shall nominate more candidates for any position than the number to be elected for each position.

A candidate may nominate for more than one position (where eligible), but can only be elected to one position.  Any candidate elected to a higher position will be excluded from subsequent ballots.  The order of Seniority of positions is shown above.  The Deputy Chairmen will have seniority according to the order in which they were elected.

Should more than the required number of nominations be received a draw will be conducted to determine the order of candidates' names on the ballot paper at the NSW Electoral Commission at 11.00am, Tuesday 22 September 2009.  Candidates or their representatives are invited to witness the draw.

Nomination forms are available from the Club (02) 6495 1306 or from the NSW Electoral Commission (02) 9290 5947.
