At the Board of Directors meeting held on Wednesday 26 August 2009 it was resolved to:

1. Approve Monday 16 November 2009 as the date for the Members night
2. Approve the opening of Club Sapphire Tura on Christmas Day
3. Not proceed with installation of a shade structure between the building and No 1 green at Merimbula following extensive investigation into options and costs.  Instruct green keepers to set the rinks east/west when practical to do so.
4. Approve the Notice of AGM and Annual Report for 2009.
5. To approve a trial of a 5% discount on food and beverage at Merimbula venue during September and October.
6. Confirm policy Auditorium is a public area and not for the exclusive use of the sections on bowling days.
7. Approve the partial resealing of Tura car park ($14,000).
8. Remind all sections of their obligation to display full minutes of their management committee meetings on their respective notice boards.
9. Approve the purchase of irrigation upgrade for Merimbula greens ($18,000), new chairs and tables for Merimbula Auditorium ($41,000), and replacement of cook top ($3,400).
10. Approve MIWBC request for prizes and discounted drinks for Fathers Day Bowls.
11. Provide “in principle” support/endorsement for the formation of a proposed social event organising committee comprising representatives of all sections across both venues.
12. Approve sponsorship of Lions Club Pambula-Merimbula Charity Golf Day and the Club Sapphire Staff Summer 7’s soccer team
13. Approve 202 new or transferring memberships comprising:
    • Bowls Merimbula:3
    • Bowls Tura: 2
    • Bowls/Golf Tura: 2
    • Golf: 3
    • Country Golf: 2
    • Cadet Golf: 1
    • Golf Junior: 1
    • Gym Junior: 3
    • Social: 114
    • Holiday: 71
